The Best Superhero (Another Reader Nomination!)

It was only a matter of time until this debate took a turn for the ugly. The burning question of who, really is The Best Superhero is now the most hotly-contested issue on the Internet, replacing the question of whether or not the Olsen Twins are identical. (Answer: yes)

Into this fray jumps loyal reader "Dre'd Up." Dre'd Up goes all East Coast on you all with his nomination/take down. (Or is it West Coast? Which one was tougher? I can never remember, since my expertise in rap music extends only to knowing most, but not all, of the lyrics to O.P.P.) Anyway, he's what Dre'd Up has to say:


You guys are all out of your mind. Spider-Man, preferably Ultimate Spidey, can beat anyone on that list of yours probably except Thor or Doomsday, for one thing he has that they don't. Spidey Sense, plus the combined power of his super agility. In the Ultimate Universe, the Green Goblin really is a Green, Firebreathing, Torch, Goblin. He's big like the Hulk, except there is fire surrounding him. Spider-Man defeated him because of his Agility and Spidey Sense.

Ps... He's also the best trash talker. Look it up, he is. That's why is is gangster. He trash talked Doc Ock when he was falling off something and said "I can jump, Doc. AND THEN JUMP AGAIN."


Since Dre'd Up agrees with me, I don't really have anything more to add. I like how he took all you other nominators and readers down by (a) pointing out that you're out of your mind for thinking that someone is better than Spidey, and (b) by pointing it out in the most logical, compelling way possible, through the mention of a Green Firebreathing Torch Goblin surrounded by fire. Nobody else had the simple common sense to do that.
